Men start trying to drag friends, family and others that were wounded or killed back into the city. Blood flows down, panic spreads through the city. The Romans approach the city, as the now stand before the wooden spikes. From underneath, spikes fly right through the ground into the Roman soldiers and horses. The Romans try to regroup but, to no avail as arrows started flying down the skies and spears were annihilating them from behind. As they fall down, the Caesar is left speechless. Anus climbs on the wall to witness the destruction below. The Caesar’s generals that had remained with him, question what had happened down there. Anus’ men once again leave the walls in a hurry. Augustus orders his troops to ambush them. The soldiers start running down screaming, the archers start firing arrows towards Anus and his men.
A Roman soldier takes a deep breath, wide open mouth screaming, a bolt flies through his mouth and into the soldiers behind him dragging him back. And more bolts and arrows fly towards the Roman army, taking them down. Anus tells his men to try and retreat with the siege equipment, but before they could the legion makes its way to him and his men. They start clashing swords, axes and try to impale each other with spears. From below the earth, again spears rise into soldiers. Anus with a swing of his sword cuts a man down and hits another three. The arrows from the wall stop, when he notices, concerned he turns around and sees on the sea Roman ships anchoring down on Creetus. With this Anus screams and shouts at him men to retreat back behind the wall, as they will be ambushed. The men with spears beneath the earth manage to hold the Roman army back, before they themselves retreating and collapsing the tunnels behind them. From behind the door, bolts start shooting outwards. Men run on the sides as to let the bolts hit the Romans.
After killing the few Roman soldiers that had made in and closing the doors. Anus tells his men to go and take down some buildings and burn them. So they block the streets and access into town and keep burning until there’s nothing left to burn. He then turns to the archers and tells them to start shooting again, so they won’t have time to breathe and regroup. The men from beneath the earth all come and ask Anus what they should do. He asks them to get ready and stand by, but stops one of them and tells him to go up onto the wall and tell him when the Romans approach the doors to the cities. Within a few minutes Creetus started burning and the wall of smoke and fire now had turned them into sitting ducks in the midst of the Roman army.
